Coeur d’Alene Fitness: My journey to a healthy, happy life
Thursday, October 23rd, 2008It has been about a month and a half since I first posted about my journey to being a fit, healthy woman. I guess it’s about time for an update! My name is Whitney White, and when I started working on my Coeur d’Alene Fitness, I was at 168 pounds and miserable. I had no energy to keep up with my kids, and no desire to get out of the house and be active outside of just going to work. But things have really turned around for me!
I started working with Zach at Physzique Personal Fitness on August thirteenth. Today is October twenty third, and I have dropped right around 12 pounds of fat. I am currently at 156.2 pounds. I am very happy! In addition to the general weight loss, I have dropped inches all over my body.
These are my measurements from August 13, my very first day:
Arm: 14.25 Waist: 41.25 Hip: 43 Thigh: 21.25 Calf: 15.5
And my measurements from October 3:
Arm - 13.5 Waist - 39.25 Hip - 41.75 Thigh - 21.25 Calf - 14.75
I have noticed a general increase in energy and I am more relaxed, even when under pressure. Several people that I work with have used a word to describe me in the last month or so that has never been used before: laid back! I have always been a rather tense person, and on a bad day, hyper active. But since I started working on my Coeur d’Alene Fitness, I am more focused, relaxed, and happy. It is wonderful! And one thing that really made me happy was when I attended a wedding a couple of weeks ago, I fit into a nice business suit that I haven’t been able to wear in several years. I was thrilled!
As I mentioned in my first post, it had been a long term dream for my husband and I to renew our wedding vows on our tenth wedding anniversary which was back in the beginning of September and for me to be able to wear my wedding dress. Sadly, I had gained too much weight to even bother taking my dress out of the sealed bag and box it has been stored in for the last 10 years. However, I have a new, shorter term goal. November is the birthday month for the United States Marine Corps., and my husband is a proud Marine Corps. Veteran. Every year the Marine Corps has a Birthday Ball to celebrate. My husband fits nicely into his dress blues, and I will fit nicely in to the dress I bought to wear that is a full two sizes smaller than what I would have purchased only two months ago. And it fits! I am so very excited and can’t wait to put on my beautiful formal gown to celebrate the Marine Corps. Birthday!
