With the expansion of acceptance of Homeopathic & Alternative Treatment Muscle Pain can be viewed with new or should we say old eyes!

We all know what muscles do for us but what do we do for them? Exposure to cold, new physical exertions & stress can cause tired or sore muscles! Injuries can cause tightness, cramps, & flat out pain! Here are some things that may help when workouts, chasing kids, or just plain life makes your muscles ache!

1. Exercise regularly! Keeping your body in good condition is the most important thing you can do for yourself!

2. Make sure you are feeding your body! Lack of nutrients in your system can get so severe you may require hospitalization! Simple blood tests done at your doctor’s office can tell you if you have been neglecting part or all of your real needs. Everyone is different so a basic vitamin may not cover what you need! Magnesium is very important for muscles!

3. Muscles have to have water!!! Drink plenty of fluids all day long not just in one sitting & try not to count pop &/or coffee as your liquids for the day!  Don’t leave out milk for calcium(with vitamin D)!  Calcium aids in muscle flexion & nerve function!

4. Be sure to stretch before & after any workouts - even light ones! Warming up is great too! Don’t try to lift your car right after breakfast. Nurture yourself a bit & you will see improvements!

5. Heat applications with mineral preparations can be useful as well as some liniments, herbal teas, or a combination of these help!

People have used these Homeopathic Treatments for centuries Doctors in traditional medicince are also useing Alternative Treatment for Pain especially in the Muscles!

6. To get potassium & magnesium without a supplement you can eat apricots, bananas, whole grains, nuts, potatoes, & other vegetables!  Don’t drink alcohol around times of physical exersion!  This greatly reduces the magnesium in your body as 60% is stored in your bones the circulating portion should be kepp at a reasonable level!

7. A simple oil for muscles is 5 Table spoons St. John’s Wart Oil, 1 Table spoon Arnica, & 1 teaspoon each of Eucalyptus & Rosemary Oils! Massage in right after a workout to enhance circulation & relax yourself too!

8. For an injury take cold showers or apply cold packs for the first 2 days after to lessen any swelling then hot to dilate blood vessels & heal the area!

9. Raw Juices, fruits, & vegetables are far better than anything processed no matter what the label says! Try not to get your protein from red meat & don’t use table salt these have shown to hinder muscle performance in some studies.

10. Herbal Tea for sore muscles! 1 teaspoon dried Ash leaves in 1 Cup of water to a brief boil & steep for 10 min. Strain & drink in sips!

11. Other herbs that are useful for muscles are as follows! Magnesium 200C for cramps after exertion. Night cramps respond well to Calcium Carbonate 200C. Arnica 30C for bruises & sprains. Zinc 4x & Magnesium 6x for cramps. Lastly Calendula 22C for healing minor tears!

Don’t forget to check with your doctor about any health concerns & for referrals to Homeopathic & Alternative Medical Professionals!
