Spokane Water Tubing Can Keep You In Shape

There are two kinds of tubing: towed and free floating, or river tubing. Towed water tubing is usually on a lake or large body of water. Personal boats, or a powered watercraft are the things that tow the tubes. Free floating tubing is just that free floating, tubers just sit and float down the river.

Towed water tubing gives you a pretty good work out, especially when you have a good driver. I recently when tubing with my family and a few friends, my step-dad drove the boat. This is not for the faint hearted! We have a three person tube, so I went with my friends, My Step-dad tried his best to get us off that just meant we had to hold on tighter and try to stay on. Let me tell you, after tubing for 15 min your arms, legs, and abdomen get exercised pretty good.


Is Towed Water Tubing Best For Your workout?

fun-water-tubingThis is not the best way to workout and get in shape, but it is a fun way to give you a little exercise. People who have back or neck injuries should not participate in this activity because it can make that worse. This isn’t really a good way to stay in shape, but on the odd days your out at the lake you could get a good little work out and do it while having fun! The reason it gives you a little exercise is because most people tube at 15-35 mph and the drivers goal is to try his hardest to throw you off the tube (safely) and your job as the tuber is to hang on with all your might. That usually takes all of your upper body including your abdomen.


The Best Way To Stay In Shape

Water tubing may not be the best way to keep your form, but it is a fun past time that can give you a tough upper body work out why your out having fun on a hot day at the lake. The way I choose to get in shape is by working out with Personal Trainer Zach Hunt of Physzique. He knows the best way to get your body in the best condition and how to eat right to stay in the best form you want.
