Half over already

Monday, June 30th, 2008

The year is half over by tomorrow. Can you believe it?

How are you doing on your new year’s fitness goals?

Are you half through with those?

Or are you back to where you started (or perhaps even worse off then in Jan).

Before you know it the whole year will be over and passed by while your goals just sit there on the wayside. For you to achieve your fitness goals by the end of 2008, 3 things will have to happen:

1. You’re going to have to eat right
2. You’re going to have to exercise plenty
3. You’re to going to have to stick with it

That’s it. Pretty simple really. Just do it, and stick with it.

Should you have the chocolate donut or the glazed?

Friday, June 20th, 2008

I just came by a study this week talking about how people make better food choices when they have the calorie content in front of them. That’s great!

But, here’s the best part. The focus was calorie counts at restaurants, so the difference was between something like ordering a double whopper with cheese and maybe just the single whopper without cheese.

Now, I’m pretty sure, both of those options are “less than optimal”. Just like at the store, every packaged item has the food label on it. But I still see plenty of people eating the junk.

So coming from the title of this. Should you have the chocolate or glazed donut, while the glazed probably has a few less calories, the point is you shouldn’t have either.

Most of the better options in the store don’t even have a label. Fruits, vegetables, some meats, etc. With a few exceptions like frozen chicken, canned beans, some dairy, etc.

Moderation the key to Spokane Weight Loss

Monday, June 16th, 2008

No you don’t have to be perfect to lose weight in Spokane, you just have to be better than you have been.

If that means going from 2 Big Macs for lunch to just 1, then that’s improvement. You’ll probably lose weight from just doing that alone. Or cutting from 3 sodas a day to just 1 or 2. Also limiting the amount of starchy / sugary carbs and replacing them with wonderful fruits and veggies will also help you gain grounds on battle weight loss.

In the end losing weight is super simple. It may be some work and a challenge, but the concept is simple. Workout and eat right and you’ll be sure to make progress.

The Fitness Truth: Simple Strategies For Extraordinary Results

I’m gonna keep it simple today.

I want to share with you a radio show I used to host a while back. This is the first show introducing the concept of the show and what “The Fitness Truth” really is. Why you don’t need fancy equipment, supplements or anything outside of “you” to get the results you are after.

Take a look here (or rather take a listen)….

It’s in mp3 format, you can download it and listen to it anywhere.
