On February 7th 2010 the New Orleans Saints take on the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIV!

…That’s Super Bowl 44, for those of us who are Roman Numerically Challenged.  It’s a big day for Spokane Super Bowl fans!  Will you be cheering for the Saints, or the Colts?

Miami may have the sun, the sand, and now the Super Bowl, but fans in the Northwest, do know how to throw a Super Bowl party!

“Men, I want you just thinking of one word all season. One word and one word only: Super Bowl.”-Football coach Bill Peterson.

While we may not exactly narrow a great Super Bowl down to one word, we can narrow a great Super Bowl party down to a few key components. Start with a great TV. Game day coverage has become so technologically advanced in the last few years, tv cameras now bring the action right into your living room. You will see every play and re-play, and with teams like Indianapolis and New Orleans, there will be some great moments you won’t want to miss. You can almost smell the sweat! Watch the game, but don’t forget to keep your eyes on the commercials! These will be the best commercials of the entire year, and you’ll be talking about these for weeks over the water cooler at work. I have never been disappointed in Super Bowl commercials!

The next key component is great food. Everybody loves football at least once a year, and great food makes a great party. But don’t forget, great food can include health conscious recipes too. Don’t limit your guests to cheesy bean dip and chips, but throw in some  seasonal fruit, fresh cut vegetables, and lean meat trays.  Try some hummus and pita chips. How are you doing on your New Years resolution these days? If you’ve worked hard and seen some progress, don’t be afraid to reward yourself and enjoy your Super Bowl Sunday.  Just remember, Physzique can get you back on track if you over-do it a little at your Super Bowl Party. Enjoy your party food responsibly, then train like a Super Bowl Star athlete.  Zach Hunt can get you there FAST.

Great decorations will make your party even more fun. Football decorations are everywhere this time of year. It doesn’t take much, just a few pieces, to set the stage for a fun time. Get some toy footballs, balloons, and a few football-themed party trays. Don’t forget to pull out a few board games or setup some fun video games for the kids in a separate room. Football is fun, but for kids it does become a long day.  A place to retreat from all of the shouting and cheering where kids can have fun and hang out will make it more fun for everyone.  If your guests have small kids, it may be a good idea to hire a teenager to be your party entertainer.

Planning a Super Bowl party is a great way to enjoy the game. Call your friends, invite them over, and most importantly, have a great time!
