Is A Liberty Lake Athletic Club Right For Me?
Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009The Problem
Being an obese woman, I have tried many fad diets. I’ve had minimal success, and maximum failure. I decided once and for all to heed the advice of every doctor I have ever talked to; Eat right and move more. For about 1 year, I got the eating right thing under control. I needed help in the “move more” category, though. Obviously I am not the best self motivator… being fat is the key proof of that. I found an athletic club in Liberty Lake called Physzique, home to a trainer named Zach Hunt, which kicked my butt in gear. The best part about it is that he doesn’t use crazy machines, or fad equipment… he helps me utilize my own body to move more. Whether it be stepping on wooden crates, or walking on my hands and feet across the floor, I feel like I am getting a great core workout in using the old school way of doing things. Myself.
The Solution
Getting in shape is helping influence all other aspects of my life, too. I drive quite a way to get to this Liberty Lake athletic club, and the old me would have justified getting a burger to “tide me over” on the way home. When I work out with Zach, I feel good about the progress I have made, and I don’t want to sabatoge that progress on the way home, or even the rest of the week. I feel more confident about myself, not just because I am losing weight, but because after a workout, I feel strong! The workouts are NOT fun. They are not “sweating to the oldies” by any means. They are gruelling. But when I am done, I feel on top of the world. I feel like I kicked butt and I can do anything! Zach has a gentle way about him, but doesn’t let me get away with anything, either!
Where to go now
If you are looking for an athletic club in the Spokane area, or Liberty Lake, I highly suggest you contact Zach Hunt at Physzique. The workout facilities are private, and his help, attitude and knowledge are amazing. I am sick of living my life behind this shell of a woman that I know I am not. Zach knows and understands how I feel. Last week, I lost 5 pounds with Zach’s help, and I can’t wait to see how I’ve done this week! And better than that, I feel awesome!
Recently, a woman made the news because her highly developed abdominal muscles saved her life. She was setting up to go paragliding in Spain when a sudden gust of wind lifted her up and flipped her over, dragging her across the rocky ground, all the while her stomach being beaten by the rocks.
To strengthen your core mucles, you really need you whole body to be in shape. Cardio work can help you lose any excess fat, which is an essential first step. Speed walking, jogging, swimming, any thing that will be easy on your joints at first. Then replace that fat with muscles with some light resistance training. Start with ten to 12 pound weights added to your cardio work. If you are walking or jogging, there are some great strap on weights you can use, such as vests or ankle and wrist weights.
